British athletes are preparing to qualify for the European Cross Country Championships 2010 in the trial race this weekend in Sefton Park, Liverpool.
Mo Farah is a previous winner of these championships and we hope that he is there to challenge for the title once again.
Here is a quick tip about a couple of running books that are really good for long distance training from the Kenyans. Both books are written by Toby Tanser and provide a real eye opener to the dedictaion and hard work that Kenyan athletes endure to achieve their great successes.
The books are called “Train Hard, Win Easy – The Kenyan Way” and “More Fire” – both are great running books for 5000m, 10000m, Marathons and more.
There are thousands of athletes who all aspire to become a champion like Mo Farah. To succeed in sport you have to commit yourself and be prepared to give 110% in both training and competition, and then you may just get the chance to prove yourself and break through to success. Many athletes come and go due to many factors, including injuries, other commitments and even boredom of the sport.
If you show dedication then you are far more likely to achieve your goals and progress to the next level.
